Graduates will acquire their Commercial Pilot License, with Multi-Engine and Instrument endorsements, as well as their diploma in General Arts and Science.
Program Length: Two-year Ontario College Diploma program
You are in the job market with a Commercial Pilot License, a multi-engine instrument rating, and a College - Aviation Diploma only 20 months after starting the program. As many pilots will tell you, the face of the industry can change a lot in the course of only one or two years. The sooner you get that first job, the better off you are. This is especially true if you're hoping to eventually gain a position with a major airline, where seniority determines lifestyle.
Small Class Size
Waterloo-Wellington Flight Centre has a very low ratio of students to instructors for the Conestoga College program. Your instructor will be able to spend more time with you, giving you your best chance for success.
Networking opportunities/ Industry Recognition
When it comes to the job-search, many people will tell you "it's not what you know, it's who you know," and this is especially true of aviation. Training in a group, rather than by yourself, gives you an opportunity to meet people and to begin building a strong network. The friendships you'll form in two years are valuable in themselves, but from a professional pilot's perspective, the opportunity to stay in touch with others in the aviation community is invaluable.
Waterloo-Wellington Flight Centre has a reputation of being one of the top Flight Training Schools in the country and as a result our graduates have access to an extensive network with entry-level employers through previous graduates.
We do our best to ensure that our students receive a level of customer service that they deserve while they're here, and this is what some of them had to say about the program:
The Conestoga College Aviation - General Arts & Science program is a challenging curriculum with strict benchmarks and deadlines. However, with the most experienced instructors teaching, and the diverse array of tools and instruments provided by the Waterloo-Wellington Flight Centre, the rewards of knowledge and experience gained by graduates are endless. T. Szaefer, Graduate
There were many choices to consider when entering the aviation field. My Conestoga College experience has been a memorable one. The staff and instructors are second to none, and are always willing to lend a helping hand. The amount of teamwork and friendships among the students has made the college experience 'fly by.' - M. Berezuk, Graduate
I am glad I chose Conestoga's Aviation program as it is preparing me in both academics and flying experience. I am confident this combination will give me the tools I need for a successful career in aviation. - W. Turk, Graduate

The two year course consists of two main components; the academic component, and the flying component. During the flight training, there are specific targets to be met in each of the academic semesters, as well as over the summer between the two academic years.
In each of the academic semesters, there are some aviation-specific classes designed to complement the flight training.
Students, who have earned a Private Pilot License prior to starting their flight training, may be eligible for exemptions.
